Chocolate Chip – Cashew Bars PDF Print E-mail

We have been making this delicious recipe for Chocolate Chip – Cashew Bars for a long time but cannot remember where we originally found it. What we do know – it is an easy-to-make and yummy treat for family and friends!

Ingredients:

1/2  cup canola oil
1/2  cup sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/ 2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 ounces dark chocolate – chopped
1/2 cup cashews or your favorite nuts, chopped (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine all ingredients and press into a 9–inch square-baking pan.

Bake for 25-30 minutes Cool and cut into bars

Notes:

Yield: Depends on size of cut bars.
